Styling makes all the difference

‘Re-use’, ‘repeat value’ are terms Hyderabad designers are hearing from their clientele of late. A lot has been said and discussed about ostentatious weddings where the families involved do not, at least visibly, make a hue and cry about splurging on wedding décor and trousseaus. The well-heeled wouldn’t bat an eyelid to splurge a few lakh of rupees on lehengas and saris. The amount was worth it if the bride and the groom stood out on the momentous day.

Can mindfulness increase your happiness?

I can lose myself when I stare at a flower. Their delicate petals, the shapes they form, their beauty; gazing at or softly touching them can quieten me and fill me with gratitude and awe.

It hasn’t always been the case though. Waking up in the midst of an anxiety attack, feeling suicidal from depression, or merely just coping with some everyday form of stress - if you’d handed me a flower to look at I would have returned the favour with a filthy look. How on earth could it have helped me feel less pain?

Submitted by blueandred on Mon, 11/23/2015 - 17:22

Picking a party dress is no longer as simple as choosing between a cleavage-baring low neck and a leg-flashing mini - these days it's all about bringing sexy back in a glamorous backless number. But the back can be just as much of a problem area as the stomach or thighs, with many women finding it hard to beat the bulge where they can't see it. We reveal how to ban flab here for good, just in time for squeezing into that slinky number.

A few months back, we mentioned that Lane Gaddy and Allison Glass were married in San Miguel de Allende in August.

Now we hear that rather than give them wedding presents, the couple asked friends and family to make contributions to the FEMAP Foundation to help the non-profit’s capital campaign and to create scholarships for its new nursing school.

Gaddy, president of W Silver Recycling, is leading the restoration of several historic buildings in Downtown El Paso. Glass works out of El Paso for a major sports clothing and accessories company.

2016 is going to be here faster than a new Kardashian reality show. With the rise in popularity of short engagements, even if there is no ring on your finger (yet), if one is going to be there soon, there's no harm in knowing what's hot and what's not for next year. Of course, if you value your sanity and are one of those people with a longer engagement (I love you people by the way) and you're planning for next year, it's good to check out this list as well.
