T shirt printing, like any other industry, uses a number of manufacturing techniques. Each has their own pros and cons. This article aims to help you distinguish between some of the different options, whether you're thinking about going into business for yourself or just investigating how to get the best quality shirt for your money.

Screen printing This is the oldest and most popular printing process. Screens are pressed to the cloth to paint one color per screen at a time. It can be done by hand or computer. Screen printing produces high-quality, very durable T-shirts, but it is messy and not suitable for small orders.

Heat Press Paper Transfer Designs are printed on a special "transfer paper" sheet. A heat press then applies the paper to the fabric. This method is quick and can produce detailed, full-color designs, suitable for single or small orders. Nevertheless, models are fragile and break easily.

Unlike paper transfer printing, vinyl transfers use a heat press to attach specially cut vinyl sheets to a fabric. It's perfect for lettering-heavy designs or few-color pictures. Also in neon colors. But only a limited amount of colors are available and must be applied separately.

Dye Sublimation Perfect for full-color designs and complex patterns, but only for polyester fabrics. Unlike most other printing methods, it can also be used on non-garment products such as mugs, coasters and keychains.

The model is printed directly onto the fabric the same way a machine prints on paper. It results in very high-quality prints and can use complex patterns and colors, but is not appropriate for dark shirts. The computer is very costly, suitable for small orders.

The quality of the printed image is strongly dependent on the quality of the artwork. If you want the best result, always use high-resolution images.

There are a few more custom t shirt printing techniques, but these are the most popular ones. Keep in mind the numerous pros and cons associated with each form of technique to ensure the best performance of Printed t shirt.
