People always complain about the images, but nevertheless play retro style games such as Stardew Valley or Terraria. Hell, look at Minecraft. Just look at it as an art fashion. Besides, is not PSO2 just like 8 years old?
It is only that those are different styles, Terraria is really designed to be pixelart, and it appears beatiful even afterward. Have you ever seen how Terraria with the Journey update looks at max images? beatiful lil'pixels.
Minecraft indeed isn't beatiful but it fits its style very well.
While PSO2 has some things that is meant to seem more realistic and it just does not, and a few textures are extremely low quality, etc..
