Entrepreneurship was not previously popular in India, particularly among women. However, the tide is now shifting. The female population of the country is choosing entrepreneurship as a vocation with whatever few opportunities are available. The boldness with which female leaders such as Falguni Nayar, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Suchi Mukherjee Vandana Luthra and many others have walked down the tough path of entrepreneurship in recent years is truly inspiring. The beauty of this business growth among Indian female leaders is that it comes from tiny towns and distant villages, not simply big cities. Also, despite the fact that female leaders still have a long way to go in terms of achieving an ideal business-friendly culture, the narrative of these Indian women entrepreneurs and their fortitude should serve as an inspiration to all young g100 women who aspire to fly high. It's past time to recognise their achievements and work to restore India's glorious days.
