I was willing to try different styles as long as they weren’t too big. No one envies my mum and friend who went shopping with me. I visited 8 shops in Bristol with my friend Thandi and 7 in Kent with my mum. I didn’t have an “it’s the one” moment, but my Gemma dress by Maggie Sottero was an early contender that I compared all other dresses to. It had a bit of an oldy worldy 20s feel to it due to the colour and the satin felt really lovely against my skin.

The wedding invitations were very classic with a noble grey color and card. Velvet peach ribbons gave them a softer feeling. We carried over the design of the invitations into the other paper elements at the wedding – the same curly edges and floral pattern.During the event all the guests saw the grounds, dined on gourmet cuisines, and were treated to a firework show – the entire celebration had at atmosphere of magic!Last week, we shared images of our sweet As You Wish bride.

Hot pinks, oranges and yellows all combined to pack a real punch. There were fabulous florals, striking bow ties, honeycomb balls and comic book details. Eekkk. How beautiful did Cate look? She wore a lace number by Lillian West with flowers in her plaited hair. Thanks so much to The Image Garden for sharing these sensational images with us.Richard whisked me away to my fav location the the UK, the lovely Gower in South Wales.

For our readings we asked two very close friends Bobby Dillon and Moira Thompson to pick readings for us, and asked them to keep it a secret from us until the day, as I’m sure all brides to be will agree, you kind of know everything about the day and events and live and breath it for months, so this was our way of getting a surprise on the day, as well as doing our own secret personal vows. Everyone loved the readings.
