The largest problem is OP. The opposing rec squad shots 70%+ from 3 and I shed. Next game my PG goes 11/11 from 3 and we win. This shouldn't be the way NBA 2K functions. That is fucking bullshit. Hands up competition is broken. The time once I go and help to get a hands up contest my guy does nothing. Speed increase dribbling is unrealistic and OP. The guards shouldn't be in a position to spam 15 dribble moves in a row and be able to zoom beyond and dunk. That is unfair and unrealistic to shield against. This goes double.
Players shouldn't phase through each other. So many defensive breakdowns or stolen rebounds bc I was phased through by them. Intimidator is OP. Shouldn't be missing easy layups bc a man is nearby. Standing dunk is broken. We need a dunk input so bigs block it and stop heading for slo mo leaning shots where the D has the time. We ought to be jumping straight up to dip since we are open. Same problem with forcing dunks but to a way level. If I have 99 vertical I should not be getting jumping animations where 2 inches jumps off the ground and does not get contest or the rally or ends up getting blocked. That is bullshit.
NBA 2K sucks because of the community. The whole"aggressive" community pretty much only believes shooting and dribbling to be skillful, everything else is just a bailout. Since they are the ones who purchase VC and post on/watch YouTube, 2K caters to them. Also they would rather hit a 3 then giving their bigman 2 buckets which mathemathically makes no sense. This is cute but I shouldnt be made to wait 5 minutes simply to eb able to back out because your garbage game can not find 4 other people to pair me with when I enter the rec by myself. Rec is beyond god level toxicity I cant endure rec anymore unless we're 5 people I actually cant stand randoms generally.
You can get in NBA 2K in rec though. I get NBA 2K in park because of the chasers hopping off the place or not needing to play me since my rep is too low for them. I ought to be able to get matches with a win percentage and also an A teammate tier when I've only played like 10 playground games. Well u enter NBA 2K then hear ur arbitrary 9 year playmaking shot creator teammate attempts 5 smothered fades un think why did u bother playing rec and starts screaming.
I personally don't enjoy how much no bar boosts your shooter (I use no bar). Sure it makes sense for builds that can shoot but can locks that are full green with a 50 something 3 chunk. While playing with shit by obtaining badge smh I rather split on takeover booster, elites become bailed often. And Legend VIP should not have the ability to take off people streak only receive the first for second, two of my friends got knocked by a legend who walked off a 29 game streak took off them the place left park. Promotes shouldn't be a thing either or Gatorade tbh enables people to acquire an edge.
