pressure Cots and Temperature Controller (Thermistor) inside the printer

pressure Cots

Pressure cots, also known as lower rolls, are used to fix and transmit ink on printing paper by hot pressing together with heating rolls. Pressure is controlled by bracket springs at both ends. Pressure rollers are usually made of high temperature resistant silicone rubber. In some laser printers, pressure rollers are made of honeycomb heat-resistant sponges. The outer surface is a layer of PTFE film, which is more conducive to separating printing paper from pressure rollers and preventing paper jamming.

Temperature Controller (Thermistor)

The temperature control method of laser printer mostly adopts thermal induction mode. The temperature of the heating roll can be sensed by contacting the heating roll with a miniature thermistor (165-200 C). Then the logic circuit controls the opening and closing of the heating lamp to realize the constant fixing temperature of the laser printer. The performance of thermistors is that the higher the external temperature, the lower the resistance value of thermistors.

When the heating roll is not electrified, the resistance of the thermistor is about 200 K, the logic control circuit 0101 is turned on, the SCR SSR101 is turned on, and the heater begins to heat. When the temperature of the heating roll increases gradually, the resistance value of thermistor decreases. When the surface temperature of the heater reaches about 180 C, the resistance value of thermistor also reaches the lowest, about 10K. The input voltage of the thermistor to the logic control circuit rises, and reaches a certain value after 0101, the heater stops heating. The surface temperature of the heater is controlled repeatedly to keep within the designed temperature range. The laser printer has the function of saving electricity (sleeping mode). If there is no printing in the set time, the main logic circuit will control the heater to enter the state of saving electricity, so that the surface temperature of the heater can be kept at about 165 C. On the one hand, this control can save energy consumption, on the other hand, when the printing job is started again, it can shorten the preheating waiting time (the time to enter the power-saving state can be set).
