As a big NBA fan I like that they put Kobe in for the covers, though I'm conflicted on with him for this year's legend variant. Clearly Kobe is Kobe, he's been the legend edition cover athlete before, but now that he's passed away I do not know whether I like them using his likeness to market the 100 expensive special edition. Also, I hope there's attribute parity between current gen and next gen versions. Afaik the version coming to PC is the gen, and I'm not likely to receive a PS5 for a while.

Individuals really mad the a LEGEND is on the legend edition. People who buy the version do this because they take pleasure in the bonuses and can manage it. If not they'll settle with standard edition. I doubt someone is gonna violate their bank just to get a cover picture if it is Kobe. The trailers and the kobe covers as well as the manner 2K will do the various versions for next gen and present gen. Pretty much all news releasing rn. Kobe was obviously expected and just fitting. Covers are stunning. Remember NBA 2K is printed by the same firm that is going to re-release GTA V for a third time.

Does anyone else feel like these just putting Kobe about the $99 version is sort of utilizing kobe's death to improve gain? Yeah but why simply put kobe on this one? They understand people want kobe stuff at this time. "how do we get more people to buy the legend version this season rather than whilst price? I know, let's place a present player with typical marketability on the pay but release the one for $99 with kobe". The last few decades there has ever been a legend edition using a legend on the cover along with the normal edition with a present day NBA player, why should they change that today?
And who in the world spends 30 to 40 bucks more simply because of a pay, I really don't see how that could impact anybody's decision to either buy the base match or the legend variant (and if you really would love to have that cover, just print it out yourself or go to the regional printing store ). Imagine the outrage they would have been required to deal with if Kobe wasn't on the legend variant cover. 2K gamers DEMANDED that this should occur. I find no wrong with them placing him about the legend edition, that's exactly what people wanted.
