This might be the best street style interview of all time

Submitted by msdress on Mon, 07/04/2016 - 18:44

Samuel Davide Hains is a ‘web developer, mystery blogger and jazz kitten’ who was interviewed by The Sydney Morning Herald.

He is spectacular. Not just because of what he happened to be wearing on the day he was interviewed about his street style – dungarees (worn backwards), a black turtleneck, a beret, and a ‘Feeling Myself’ tote bag – but because of the worldview his style, his speech, and his general sense of being embodies.

His style, explains Samuel, is ‘bucolic socialist with improvised elements (like jazz)’. His favourite place to shop is K Mart, so he can reimagine chain store pieces by pairing them with high end fashion, like his Chanel cape. Well, obviously.

His biggest fashion mistake was wearing lenseless Wayfarers and when he was a child he wore ‘an all-orange Fubu tracksuit with a spray tan’. We like to imagine he emerged from the womb in that exact outfit.

27 things you only know if you can’t deal with high heelsBut don’t get it twisted. In case it isn’t entirely obvious, Samuel explains that he wouldn’t be caught dead in ‘neo-hippie “bush-doof” couture, a small, inefficient beanie, or anything less than extraordinary.’ Well, duh.

His interview has since been shared by Nicole followed by Get In The Sea, where it’s been greeted with exactly the kind of appreciative praise you’d expect from Twitter’s fashion elite.
