Serena Williams a lone warrior in feminist calls to arms

Submitted by msdress on Fri, 07/08/2016 - 17:19

Serena Williams enters her ninth Wimbledon singles final tonight against Australian Open winner Angelique Kerber pleading for the women’s game to be given some respect.

The 34-year-old has long rejected the marketing spin that has tried to turn the women’s game into a voyeur’s drool-fest over the past few years. On the eve of attempting to win her 22nd grand slam title, she urged the public, the media and other athletes in general to recognise that female tennis players are lifetime professionals and don’t deserve to be paid any less than the men during their careers.

This means each piece is fairly exclusive, as well as what retailers today like to call “conscious.”

This might be the best street style interview of all time

Submitted by msdress on Mon, 07/04/2016 - 18:44

Samuel Davide Hains is a ‘web developer, mystery blogger and jazz kitten’ who was interviewed by The Sydney Morning Herald.

He is spectacular. Not just because of what he happened to be wearing on the day he was interviewed about his street style – dungarees (worn backwards), a black turtleneck, a beret, and a ‘Feeling Myself’ tote bag – but because of the worldview his style, his speech, and his general sense of being embodies.
