The Hastelloy C-276 is an additional tungsten nickel-chromium molybdenum alloy designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance in various harsh environments.C-276 is widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields as an element of organic and catalytic chloride systems. This alloy is especially suitable for high temperature environments, impure inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid) and seawater corrosion.
Hastelloy C276 Typical application areas including:
- Part of the organic chemical process involves chloride, especially in the use of acid chloride catalysts.
- Digesters and bleaches for use in the pulp and paper industry.
- Used in flue gas desulfurization system such as absorption tower, reheater, gas import plate, fan, blender, clean water fin, chimney etc.
- Equipment and parts used in acid gas environment.
- Acetic acid and anhydride reaction generator
- Cooling with sulfuric acid
Hastelloy C276 is a forged nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of processing environments. It has excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, crackcorrosion, stress corrosion cracking and oxidation up to 1040°C.
The high Mo content of C276 provides an alloy with excellent corrosion resistance from stings and cracks.
The low carbon content of the alloy means that Hastelloy C276 resists the formation of precipitates at grain boundaries in the heat affected zone. So Hastelloy C276 can maintain its unique corrosion resistance under welding conditions.
Hastelloy C276 Tubingwas selected for its resistance to moist chlorine, hypochlorite, and many other harsh chemicals. It also provides excellent resistance to strong oxide salt solutions such as ferric chloride.
Alloy C-276 corrosion resistance
C276 alloy is suitable for many types of chemical process industries including oxidizing media and reducing agents.
The molybdenum and chromium content can withstand chloride corrosion, and tungsten makes it corrosive.
Excellent resistance C276 is one of the few materials that can resist most chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine corrosion.
This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chlorates (iron chloride and copper chloride).
Features
- Excellent corrosion resistance in most corrosive media in oxidizing and reducing environments.
- goodresistance to pitting corrosion,
3 resistance crevice corrosion as well as stress corrosion cracking.
C-276 alloy microstructure
C276 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure
Alloy 20 pipe fittings of various shapes, sizes, grades and specifications according to ANSI / ASME and DIN standards. We manufacture alloy 20 pipe fittings for critical applications and manufacture and store fittings that are odd size and hard to find in alloy 20 pipe fittings.
Alloy 20, also known as Carpenter 20, Itis an austenitic nickel iron chromium alloy developed for acid attack, especially the maximum resistance to sulfuric acid. This superroll is excellently resistant to general corrosion, drilling, and cracking of chemicals such as chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and nitric acid. It also includes niobium for granular corrosion sensitization and stabilization obtained. Carpenter 20 combines high mechanical properties with relatively easy manufacturing and excellent corrosion resistance.Although it was originally designed for use in industries related to sulfuric acid.
