What is Zinc Die Casting?

Submitted by JCCASTING on Tue, 04/04/2023 - 22:54

Die casting is generally categorized by the heat and pressure required to inject molten metal into the die casting mold. However, part manufacturing processes can also be categorized by material type, with zinc die casting being the most common in terms of part strength.
Zinc die casting is a process that involves melting zinc alloy (hence the name zinc die casting) and injecting it into an already prepared die casting mold.

Casting Tolerance

What are casting tolerances?
General casting tolerances mean that after casting various metal castings, the measured values of the parts must be regarded as acceptable limit values. Therefore, the precise dimensions of castings require more accurate and strict tolerances.

The main content of casting tolerances
Generally, we divide casting tolerances into two parts: linear tolerance and shape tolerance

Know Your Pump Materials

Submitted by JCCASTING on Tue, 01/10/2023 - 19:33

Depending on the type of job at hand, the pump material is critical. Corrosion can occur in a number of ways when using electric pumps, so choosing the correct pump material for the right job is critical.

This article will discuss the various materials that you often find in pump casing and impeller components, and their applications.

Forged and Cast Valves

Submitted by JCCASTING on Tue, 01/10/2023 - 19:24

All valves are an integral part of any industrial system, but not all valves are made the same. For example, some valves are forged while others are cast. So what is the difference between forged vs. cast valves, and which one is best for your particular application?

What is Sand Casting?

Submitted by JCCASTING on Tue, 01/10/2023 - 19:20

Sand casting is a process that uses non-reusable sand molds to form metal castings. On the one hand, casting is a deceptively simple manufacturing process: anyone who has ever built a castle on the beach knows that sand can be used to create elaborate shapes. However, when dealing with the heat of molten metal in a foundry, many factors must be considered in order to be successful. Casting is used to make metal parts of various sizes, from a few ounces to several tons.
