Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens returned to the team Saturday soon after missing the preceding game to become with former Butler center Andrew Smith who's battling cancer. From MassLive.com:

"It was just the truth that the situations were worsening," Stevens said of his choice to leave the Celtics. "I'll let them talk about his condition. But I'm glad that I went."

With his former player so sick, the coach referred to as the previous handful of days "very challenging."

Chelsea’s new addition to the squad is aimed at fixing their rocky start. Since the beginning of the season, Chelsea has struggled to secure a point on the the stats sheet and has decided to change that by bringing in a new face.

 

Chelsea have been pursuing the Spanish winger, Pedro, for awhile now and has finally struck a deal with Barcelona, for €30 million.

“FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Pedro Rodríguez for 30 million euros, of which 3 million are dependent on performance,” read a statement from Barca.

Free-agent forward Carlos Boozer met using the Milwaukee Bucks’ front workplace this week about a potential deal, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

 

Boozer had a constructive meeting with Bucks coach Jason Kidd and general manager John Hammond in Los Angeles, sources said. Milwaukee suffered consecutive double-digit losses towards the Lakers and Clippers this week.
