Manpower Supply in Malaysia
The population of migrant workers is a significant labour force in Malaysia. Up to today, Malaysia has become the largest importer of labour in Asia, taking in more than a million workers from Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh and Pakistan. It is estimated that there were roughly 3 million migrant workers in Malaysia , which are relied heavily on to help out in the construction and plantation sectors. Most of the workers are sourced from Indonesia, India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
