Valverde announces a new contract with Real until 2028, including a €1 billion buyout, indicating a 'tech for life' commitment.
Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, 25, who has a love-hate relationship with Korean soccer, is expected to sign a long-term contract with the club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted on his personal 'X' (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday (KST), "Real Madrid have agreed terms with Pedro Valverde to extend his contract until June 2028. The buyout clause is €1 billion ($1.42 trillion) and the two sides have finalized the agreement."
"The re-signings of Valverde, Edouard Camabinga and Vinicius Junior will be announced shortly," Romano added.
