What do Bible-accurate angels look like?

Basically, Bible provides different pictures of angels. The chapter describes other creatures that have four wings and four faces (of a lion, sn ox, a man, and an eagle, respectively) and calls them cherubim. There are similar references in both Isaiah and Revelation, where Isaiah and john are given visions of God’s heavenly throne room. In both of these visions, the prophets describe seeing creatures that have six wings: four which they use to cover their faces and feet, and two which they use to fly. These creatures are identified as seraphim.

Instead of those beautiful, angelic, humanoids, the bible depicts bizarre animal/human hybrids, fiery winged beasts, and wheels made of eyes. It isn’t certain, but most believe that they are descendants of mythical beasts across the ancient near East. The Bible passage starts with the Lord giving Ezekiel a vision of his throne. Ezekiel describes creatures that are like ‘’ a wheel within a wheel, each of their four rims was filled with eyes all around. These particular creatures actually serve as the wheels of God's throne.

Bible Accurate Angels | Accurate Angels

Maybe when bible accurate angels appear to people on earth, they take on a human appearance, and when God gives people visions of heaven and his throne room, the more bizarre and fantastic creatures are free to roam. My interpretation of this is that God desires to control the true glory and power of the angels he commands in heaven. Perhaps their very appearance is simply too powerful and awe-inspiring for human eyes to behold.

There are times when ‘’Bible accurate angels’’ heavenly creatures appear as eyeball-covered wheels, and other times when they appear human-like, depending on the context and the type of angels being described.
