You guys do realize what all of you wish for? If there will be u10, they will lower rarity drops in u8 and u9 (and probably in lower ubers as well because like who needs newbies right?). And no, they will never add such thing as empowered gem boxes that gives u fragments, because it would completly ruin their vision of timegated emp gems. They rather give you boxes that loot stellars at uncommon rate, and with filled karma bar it would loot 2 star stellar always (just like Moxxi said).
U9 is to easy for me atm just 1 second per dung including 3* boss, im ok with U10 if they were add radiant box with uncommon stellar gem, rare as empowered fragment and super rare stellar emp box and you can buy trove flux online. FInally we will get chance to avoid time-gated RNG and get better gems or maybe DRAGONS! (18.4kpr and i still have radiant empowered because time-gate don't let me give anything better than once in week, maniac pack and all weeks dotm ultra doesn't help too) Also idea about requirements of mastery lvl for join U10 sounds good, now people will focus about getting high mastery and revive marketplace.
The onnly thing i don't understand, it's why in all uber we still get relic, legendary, resplendent items XD. To me there is no sense with 10kpr for example to can go to u9 and still get a lot of item under shadow XD. I don't ask to make better drop for u8 or u9 to get radiant or stellar item, but not more item under shadow, ther is no sense XD to me.something nice to me, well something like u1/u2 nothing under resplendant, u3/u4 nothing under shadow, from u5 nothing under shadow2, instead of the drop of that stuff (resplandant, legendary) they maybe can drop something more usefull for those lvl neede to be there XD. well, come on lvl 30 ans still get legendary item in an uber where u need 10kpr to enter ?
I like the idea of U10 personally. My pirate captain is 14kpr and I can solo in U9 fairly easily. And apparently there are people with like 20kpr. So U9 must be a cake walk for them. Also if you take into consideration that they are (allegedly) making earth gems then that would make U9 even easier than it already is. Also one thing I didn't much care for that came with the Mantle of Power update is that it sort of locked you into just playing 1 or 2 classes. Which can sometimes make finding classes for shadow tower take awhile when the leader is asking for a tank but like nobody has a high enough pr tank to join (pro tip: if you want to get all the invites play a tank class like candy barb or revenant). So (assuming that they don't add a higher rarity gem) that would potentially mean that stellar gems would be in the uncommon slot instead of the rare slot, which would make fitting out your other classes to high PR easier. The struggle would initially be getting one class to U10, then once at that point you can relax and start branching off into other classes.
Unless they add actual content like new enemy types with new attacks or mechanics, or something of that nature, the game is going to die off. Just increasing uber levels to infinity creates stagnation in a game. The game is starting to turn into the most basic form of a text book rpg game to Buy Trove Flux. Get item to do more dmg, get new area, current item no longer works so you get same item only stronger to kill new enemy and move on to next area, and so on and so on. A lot of games can get away with a basic system like this because they have tons of other things in between like story content, interesting quests, exploring, ect. But trove does not have any story content, it has no quests, and can anyone honestly say they go around worlds only to explore a world that will get wiped as soon as the last player leaves?
Of course I haven't fully thought this system through, as I made this at like 2 in the morning. Of course the abilities will be rather strong, as this upgrade will be hard to obtain. And there would be more abilities than this, just need time to think of them. Of course for uber 10, there better be more than a new rarity and buffed mobs. I would like to see some more interesting mobs with more challenge to them. But for now, here is my idea.
