At the beginning of the year, once we introduced Free Trade and the Wilderness back, we promised that we would pair that with programmes that could combat the inevitable botting that would lead to this decision. Over the last few months we've initiated a range of programmes to try it, a few of which we have already mentioned to you, a few of which we have not because of valid reasons and some since we do not want to warn gold farmers and bot makers about our counter steps.
Still negatively affecting portions of RuneScape
The challenge to us is that although all our programmes and best intentions the problem is still huge and, most annoyingly, nevertheless adversely impacting parts of our sport. We are continuing to battle spiders on all fronts. In a bid to be open and transparent we wish to discuss a couple of measures and initiatives we are about to release/have released lately: We have recently improved our internal systems to be able to spot spam in the chat window and instantly mute the offender preventing the continuous stream of RuneScape gold buy communication from the golden farmers which are impacting the sport experience.
