RuneScape will be able in reaching its 30th year anniversary

When you play an MMORPG for a prolonged period - say 15 years - it is a significant part of your everyday life the choice is whether to play solo or become an active member of the community. RS Gold was celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018 and , while there were some highlights including in particular the Elder God Wars dungeon and Azzanadra's Quest - there were also negatives, like the Login Lockout.

In the end, I think RuneScape will be able in reaching its 30th year anniversary due to the way that portable and Steam version of the game have introduced it to a whole new set of players. I'll certainly be there for future adventures especially when they feature penguins or an overhaul of the Construction skill, and, should I require a rest, I can always go back to Old School RuneScape.

You could play a game for a thousand hours, but that doesn't mean you enjoy the game. We've all seen the meme of someone writing the most negative Steam review, with more than 5000 hours of gameplay. But let's face facts that's no longer an acceptable idea anymore.

I've invested hundreds of time into Fallout 4 and might have played about five. The remainder was just a promise of fun, and the bloody 'kill loot, return' loop that tricked my mind into thinking it was enjoying itself. It's been interesting to read the things you've said about Skyrim and how you've come crawling back to it once more. This is pathetic for all of us.

But old School RuneScape? I'm not sure. It's generally easy to spot the games that are time-sink as they take over your life and then you complain about it on the internet. However, RuneScape is distinct. Even when I'm not playing I still don't really have an opinion about the game. I can hear the music in my mind, and feel a pull that brings me back to it. Discovering it was using a mobile phone was a blunder. My family hasn't heard from me for several days.

RuneScape was among the trailblazers: a game solely focused on engagement, which doesn't necessarily have to be paired with fun. However, that doesn't mean that the two are incompatible, it just means that there are options to keep you playing when you're not having enjoyment.

RuneScape is one of the best in its field. I've been watching the fan documentary, RuneScape Historical Timeline 1998 to 2020, which is about the development (it really has affected all aspects of my everyday life) and the game's developers were shocked at the players' ability to max out statistics in months instead of years.
