To hire teachers for classes I through VIII at government and private schools in Odisha, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts the OTET. OTET stands for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test.
According to the official website, one of the eligibility requirements for hiring teachers is passing the OTET exam. But, it’s not guaranteed that the candidate will be appointed to state schools even after passing the exam.
Applicants may appear for the OTET exam if they have completed either their Class XII or their graduate degree with the required minimum marks. Two papers are conducted for the Odisha Teaching Eligibility test: Paper 1 and Paper 2. According to their eligibility, candidates can appear for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both.
