The Duchess of Cambridge is on a fashion winning streak, wowing in yet another stunning gown just a day after walking the red carpet premiere of Spectre in a grayish-blue Jenny Packham dress. The princess attended the 100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WHF) Gala at London's Victoria and Albert Museum wearing a red, white and blue floral gown by Erdem.
Kate's floor-length gown featured a tiered panel, a boat neckline and concealed zip fastening in the back, The Daily Mail noted. The fitted gown, which cinched at her waist, also featured slip pockets at the side. The princess paired the dress with diamond and sapphire fringe earrings, a diamond bracelet believed to be a wedding gift from her father-in-law and a £450 Anya Hindmarch "Maud" satin black clutch.
The black tie event was held to support The Art Room, a charity Kate is a patron of, People Magazine reported. According to the magazine, the mother of two posed for a photograph with the 20-member board of 100WHF before the dinner and presented a leadership award to Elizabeth Corley, CEO of Allianz Global Investors during a dinner break. Corley received an award for her work mentoring future leaders in the investment banking industry, the magazine reported.
Kate's husband Prince William became a patron of 100WHF in 2009 and was followed by Kate and his brother Prince Harry in 2012. 100WHF has previously partnered with charities close to the three royals's hearts, including Action on Addiction in 2013 and WellChild in 2014.
Since returning from maternity leave, Kate has kept very busy attending several charity events and fulfilling her royal duties. She started off her Tuesday (27 October) with a trip to the Islington Town Hall in London to meet with representatives from Chance UK, an organisation that helps children at risk for anti-social or criminal behaviour.
According to People Magazine, the princess met with children who work with the organisation while sporting a gray Orla Kiely dress, which she previously wore in March 2012. "She was having a laugh with them," Dr Gracia McGrath, CEO of Chance UK, told the magazine. "Watching her go round and to see them and how excited they were was really powerful."
