A flat marker was what we could afford, and I'd been quietly dreading that it would look cheap. It doesn't. Ours is polished https://memorystones.us/category/flat-marker/ gray granite with clean lettering, and standing at the plot it looks like it belongs. Prices are shown on each one here, which meant I could sort by what was possible for us. The lettering is deep and clean, and after a year outside it still reads clearly.
