Choo Shin-soo (42, SSG Landers), who announced that he would retire after the 2024 season, will carry out various donation activities in his final season.

SSG announced on the 22nd, one day before the opening of this year’s regular season, “To commemorate Choo Shin-soo’s last active career, we will conduct joint marketing with the club, including an event in which he participates directly.”

This joint marketing will be conducted under the theme of ‘Another beginning, not an end, End & And Choo’.

Choo Shin-soo, who has been active in the United States and Korea for 23 years until this year, conveyed his will and ideas for special fan service and social contribution activities to the club in celebration of his retirement season.

The SSG club also planned a marketing campaign to help Choo Shin-soo celebrate his retirement season and share special memories with fans.

Choo Shin-soo will deliver the regular season uniform he wore this season along with a handwritten autograph to selected fans through a separate event.

Starting April 21, SSG will name the 5 seats in the live zone located behind the catcher as 'Choo Shin-soo Zone' during regular season Sunday home games, and donate all proceeds from those seats. Customers who purchase these seats will be given the opportunity to participate in the ‘Choo Shin-soo mini fan meeting’ before the game. Choo Shin-soo plans to auction off various worn items, including the uniforms he actually wore during his Major League Baseball (MLB) days and the baseball equipment he still uses, through the 'Landers App'. All proceeds from this activity will be used for fan service and social contribution programs. In addition, the profits from Chushin's 'Water', which was launched with Shinsegae Food last year, are donated to support Ama Baseball, and once a month, we support baseball viewing for people from all walks of life, including the underprivileged, soldiers, police, firefighters, and youth baseball teams. After the end of this season, volunteer activities will be held with Choo Shin-soo and fans. Choo Shin-soo will donate additional children's books to three orphanages in the Incheon area that have created study rooms through the 2021 Dream Landing Project when he comes to the KBO League. Choo Shin-soo plans to encourage reading by visiting daycare centers and reading books with the children. Choo Shin-soo said, “I am honored and grateful to be able to do various activities for my fans and the underprivileged around me. This season is the last time I can greet you as a player, but if the small memories I gave can come together and become a big help to many people, I don't think there will be anything more rewarding than this.” “I will do my best to make this a great year,” he pledged. 한국야동
