There's a moment in every Hurricane run when you've pushed through screaming wind, checked three bits of rubble, and found nothing but trouble. That makes a found ARC Raiders BluePrints feel better than it should. First Wave Caches aren't fixed prizes waiting at one exact coordinate. They're selected from normal Raider Cache points, then hidden by debris, bad sightlines, and players arriving before you. Treat each match as a moving route problem. Check nearby clusters, move with the wind, and leave once your bag and Trial progress are worth protecting.
Storm Rules Since February
Hurricane conditions arrived February 24, 2026, bringing heavy wind and flying debris to the outdoor maps. Stella Montis doesn't join the rotation because its playable areas are indoors. On March 3, rare blueprint odds inside First Wave Caches dropped a little while high-tier material drops increased. So those old stories about stacks of rare plans every run don't match the current reward mix. Version 1.39.0 landed July 28 with no listed cache-placement or reward changes. This week's Trial runs July 28 through August 3, and Search Raider Caches pays 800 points per successful search. An opened cache can still count, so walk up and test the prompt.
Stop near each likely point for a few seconds and listen for the repeating electrical hum.
Turn in place before searching debris, since the sound can come from behind a wall or below a ledge.
Leave an empty point quickly when the signal doesn't grow stronger.
Set an extraction trigger before deployment, such as two searches or a full inventory.
Routes Die at Empty Markers
The obvious plan is to memorize every marker and run the whole map. On paper, that sounds right. In practice, players burn half a round digging through every bush at Olive Grove or every crate at Spaceport, then get caught crossing open ground with nothing secured. The cache pool changes each deployment, and wind can make a famous route painfully slow. Start with the closest connected group. On Dam Battlegrounds, link Testing Annex, Water Treatment, Hydroponic Dome, and Power Generation Complex; north starts can pair Controlled Access Zone with Red Lakes or Electrical Substation. In Buried City, work Church Ruins to Pharmacy, then Library and Piazza Roma, with Hospital and Dune's End as the extension. Give each stop one focused audio sweep. Then move.
Pick Maps by Your Exit
Dam Battlegrounds is best for fast multi-zone Trial attempts, but its open lanes invite attention. Buried City packs Grandioso Apartments, Highway Camp, Plaza Rosa, Town Hall Plaza, Marano Park, metro entrances, and Space Travel into tighter landmark chains, though walls and vertical paths waste time. Blue Gate suits careful runs: connect Ancient Fort, Highway Collapse, and The Checkpoint, or Olive Grove, Pilgrim's Peak, Ruined Church, and Raider's Refuge. Spaceport works when you land near Staff Parking and Maintenance Hangar, or Fuel Lines, Fuel Processing, Water Towers, Service Buildings, and Container Storage. Don't cross the map for one lonely point. Fair enough.
Secure Points Before Chasing More
Should you keep searching after two caches? Usually no, unless the next zone sits directly between you and extraction and the wind is helping. First confirm the storm direction, then clear one nearby cluster, then test opened caches before committing to a second.
