FM event to help those with hair loss planned

JOHNSTOWN — Students and staff from the Hamilton Fulton Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services Career and Technical Education Cosmetology program will be donating their time to raise money and ponytail donations for the non-profit organization Hair We Share at Fulton Montgomery Community College on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

FMCC’s Community Outreach Club and the cosmetology program have partnered together to host annual hair donation events at the college for the past nine years, previously working with Pantene Great Lengths and Locks of Love.

Seton Hall hosts celebration of Japanese culture

Ramen Tasting, Kendama Play and a Cosplay Contest can only mean one thing: it is Japan Week at Seton Hall.

Japan Week features a series of events that will showcase Japanese culture, fashion, cinema, cuisine and language, from April 9 to April 13.

This celebration is meant to coincide with the emergence of Japanese Cherry Blossoms. Events include a movie night, virtual tour of Kyoto, a former capital of Japan, and a karaoke night.
