All we can know regarding World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Now Blizzard has announced their belief that Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be released this year, and it's time to be excited once more for one of World of Warcraft's most beloved expansions. The original WotLK came out at the end of 2008, and brought Arthas Menethil as the Lich King in the spotlight at first since Warcraft 3.
Similar to Burning Crusade Classic before it, WotLK Classic won't be exactly the same as it was 14 years ago. The changes aren't too significant, however and I'll discuss all of them below. We've got the details on World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
Blizzard hasn't announced a specific release date as of yet, however the beta is expected to come out sometime in 2022. The beta will be released in July or in August. With the new Dragonflight(opens in new tab) expansion likely to appear on the retail version of WoW in the early 2023 timeframe, we're likely to see Wrath of the Lich King Classic come out a bit earlier than it. So we might be expecting a September-November release.
Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be included in subscriptions to the month-long World of Warcraft subscription ($15/PS10/EUR13) and includes access to WoW Classic/TBC Classic/WoW Shadowlands.
It's unclear if you'll be required to pay to create a new character (if you want to continue playing various Classic versions) But I'll make sure to update this guide once there's more cheap WOTLK Gold. In other words, you'll only be charged extra when you opt to buy an increase in level or transfer your current character to another server.
