Uttaranchal University was established in 2013. In total, it was made by merging three different institutes. Their names are Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Law College Dehradun, and Uttaranchal Institute of Technology. Now, in addition to the earlier ones, the University has a number of schools and institutes. For instance, there is Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, School of Liberal Arts, School of Agriculture, School of Applied & Life Sciences. Hence, the University offers multi-disciplinary courses and education programs.
