Pre-hypertension - 120-139 / 80-99: Catching your numbers when they hit this range is a real bonus. You are not in a high risk category, and you can probably do a lot to help your self through diet and lifestyle changes alone. Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables. If you choose to use alcohol, tobacco, or caffeine, do so in moderation, and implement a regular daily exercise program into your life. Pre-hypertension is a wake-up notice, the changes you make at this stage will determine a great deal of your future options.
