Tony Romo makes thrill-less NBA debut using Mavericks

Tony Romo's night as a possible honorary Dallas Maverick had been pretty uneventful. He didn't come out from the tunnel like Willis Reed in Game 7 on the 1970 NBA Finals. He didn't channel his or her inner-Air Bud and drain the winning shot using a header.

All of these absurd scenarios, er, Dallas sports fan dreams, were stopped by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban explained to ESPN he initially had every intention of deciding upon Romo and giving your pet some NBA minutes. "I told (Silver) what I would definitely do and said, 'Fine me if you won't like it. '"

However, Silver told Cuban the NBA may not recognize the contract.

The Mavericks are 32-49 and currently 12th inside Western Conference heading inside their final game of the growing season Wednesday.

Some fans have viewed Cuban's gesture being a simple nod of appreciation to at least one of Dallas' great players. Others view it since cheap marketing tactic to build some interest in on the list of NBA's lackluster teams.

I'm right in the center. I don't mind a team honoring one of several city's best athletes in a unique way, but I wasn't really itching to see the NFL's biggest punching bag have something like this happen to your pet.Best info on Madden NFL 17 coins is present on our official site.

Maybe Cuban is upon something though.
