The Raids Were Fun For Its Day Though

But I can not deny there is obviously lots of dull as shit items to get through as you say. I do those when I'd have been seeing netflix/YouTube/whatever other non intensive hobby anyhow, not the other way round. I also listen to a lot of music - it could give me some thing to"perform" but not actually requiring my brain, allowing me to focus 95% on the symphony or record or whatever. Feel like watching a episode or 2 of those sopranos? Eh let us do a little agility and toss on osrs.

It's about achieving and setting goals. Imo, Runescape is not really like other point and click games since there's an ending in sight that's also attainable if you set your mind to it. Other clickers I've played do not really have that ceiling therefore setting aims seems more pointless if there is no actual end. Also keep in mind Runescape was essentially intended to be a text-based match such as old computer games from the 80s, but with much more interactive visuals to match the text choices. That's essentially why all has an examine alternative despite it with no substantial intent.

Anything that would be interesting like skilling you could knock out in every day, however it had been click intensive (envision smelting rune ore and you had to click on each person coal, but for everything you make). Leveling was excruciating, such as RS you sit at a single camp, well that is if you could solo and only a few classes could. Just a few could really semi-afk, a whole lot you needed to kite things around and it was a lot easier to die than RS because xp tapered off quickly on creatures over a couple levels below you. Then after months of grinding you get to max level 65. Oh and from this stage, soloing is all but non-existant, because anything that will give experience at this point is pretty much in a raid zone. On the flip side, RuneScape game did encourage socializing. I wish it had quests. The raids were fun for its day though.

Maybe it was how you described it, but unlike RuneScape game seems like it was especially designed to dissuade years of mindless grinding that literally ruins lives in games such as RuneScape or WoW. Just sounds like a basic buzz kill how XP works permanent. EQ was far worse than WoW together with grinding, and even moreso than RS. It is the exact opposite. RuneScape game ended up putting the capacity to order Pizza Hut straight into RuneScape game, this was like ~2004. The entire culture around RuneScape game places the South Park WoW event to pity. RS is a lot easier going in contrast.
