Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches later this week, and in advance of that, Activision has kicked off preloading and shared unlock times for this year's CoD game. All platforms can now begin preloading as of Monday, October 21, while launch times will vary a bit between systems.
For instance, the Call of Duty blog notes that Black Ops 6 on the PC Microsoft Store will "roll out regionally on October 24 between 4 AM PT and 11 PM PT." Meanwhile, on Steam and Battle.net, the official launch time for the FPS is 9 PM PT on October 24, which would be midnight ET (technically October 25). PlayStation and Xbox players fall into the same bucket as the Microsoft Store, with regional timing between 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET and 11 PM PT / 2 AM ET.
People who have preordered Black Ops 6 or subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate can download the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies.
"To make the preload as smooth as possible, players who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 and already have Call of Duty installed will receive the Black Ops 6 preload as an automatic update to their existing install, similar to previous Call of Duty updates," Activision said.
Those who preordered Black Ops 6 but don't have Call of Duty already installed can manually trigger the download. Activision also warned that the download will be "larger" for people who already have Call of Duty installed because they are getting the new UI and Black Ops 6 updated at the same time.
