All they should do is permit meme template articles that are altered to a level. Clearly define what qualifies. And restrict the circulation of effort articles when they are over-excessive. This could be accomplished by providing a warning by means of a stickied thread, and referring to it when articles are removed. It really feels like since Adam abandoned their group, they have lost their individuality. Evidence of this may be viewed by simply looking at the top posts on this subreddit and seeing just how many of these would be taken out via this team when they were posted today. Yeah it'd be a shame if we became anything like a broadly popular sub. I would miss the hell out of watching somebody get 99 cooking that has been shared from their camera.
Frankly, the"initial 99 after 50 years of enjoying" and"X furry friend at just 100 XP!" Posts really ought to be tagged with something else than"achievement". I get it - it might be a milestone to someone but that does make it an achievement from the current iteration of the match. Perhaps 12 years back 99s would have been really impressive - that too in some of the slower abilities mainly - but now this sub is over-saturated with these articles. And the superb RNG dependent, low XP/low KC pet posts really don't qualify as achievements either.
An achievement is something astonishing that you did, not something slightly cool that happened to you purely . They should demonstrate effort. I want to observe achievements which are still relevant now, not something which was difficult once RS2 launched. Finished Master Clue Log after Masters? Share that. New boss world record? Showcase it. Hit 5. 6B or completed"Authentic Trim"? That is insane, you complete mad-man (or woman). But 99s are so typical that the achievement tag only feels just like a misnomer. It is partly due to uncontrolled MTX devaluing skilling and leaving it devoid of items that may qualify as achievements in the current day but it's also due to game development. Whatever the case, they have to be reclassified so we could observe things that are really impressive today. I do not understand how they can allow dogshit articles by the man who treats this site like tumblr, but not amusing memes.
