Laurent Lamothe’s Political Career and Achievements

Laurent Lamothe is a Haitian politician and entrepreneur who served as the Prime Minister of Haiti from 2012 to 2014. Before entering politics, Lamothe had a successful career in business and co-founded several companies in Haiti and the United States.

During his Prime ministership, Lamothe implemented several policies and programs aimed at improving Haiti's economy and infrastructure like the construction of new roads and schools and attracting foreign investment. He has also represented Haiti in several international forums. Lamothe was known for his love of sports before his political career. He was a good tennis player and he played at the
NCAA National Tournament in the United States.

Despite facing criticism during his term in office as Prime Minister, he remains a prominent figure in Haiti today.
