What exactly you do, First receive your magic to level 9. You can accomplish it in the dummies using lower leveled strike spells, or do Witch's Potion and Imp Catcher quests. Second, get a fire staff and Head and Air runes. You will need double the quantity of Air Runes as Mind Runes, so in the event that you have 5k heads, then you will need 10k airs. Which means you can perform 342147219 chests a trip. Great for you, but melee is best for me personally. I get more profit by wasting money on 100+ slayer dart casts and that I will do much more chests per excursion.
Most people who do barrows are lower lvl then that, of course with worse stats and are doing it for money. I've completed barrows a lot over the past 9 months of playing. I've fine melee stats and ok mage stats. I like melee. I take 3 p pots and 1 superb collection. I can do 3-5 chests based on how the brothers hit. Together with slayer dart I can only do about two maybe 3 if I'm blessed. I have tested this with my own char. May not be accurate for others.
Now another thing is, why can it be believed that veracs is your only"rewarding" melee method? I have done barrows with a bgs and a whip+defender. They both work a lot better then when I attempted it with buy RuneScape gold veracs. I barely got through one excursion together with all the slow attack speed and low strikes.
