Home to critically acclaimed shows like Asur, Raikar Case, The Gone Game, Voot Select will now have ace Bollywood Director Apoorva Lakhia making his directorial web debut with this action-packed espionage thriller. Following the web series like The Familyman, Special Ops, Blockage, The Forgotten Army, the nationwide web series ‘Crackdown’ is set to release soon. The first poster of this web series starring Saqib Salim, Shreya Pilgaonkar, Rajesh Tailang and Iqbal Khan was released on Wednesday. The series will be released on 23 September on the digital platform Voot Select.
In the poster, all these artists are seen aiming at the guns in the hand. The release date of this web series has been announced along with the poster. All the actors in the poster have been introduced as heroes. The caption accompanying the poster reads, ‘When the danger is knocking in India, such heroes fight for us’.
The special thing is that Apoorva Lakhia, director of films like Shootout at Lokhandwala and Zanjeer (2013), is debuting on digital platform from this series. This web series will be based on the story of some unsung heroes posted in and outside the country who have sacrificed everything for the security of the country. It is expected that the trailer of the series will also be released soon.
Let me tell you that apart from 'Crackdown’, actress Shriya Pilgaonkar who will be seen in this series will be seen in 'Hathi Mere Saathi’, although the cinematography is waiting for the release of this film. Shriya is quite famous as 'Sweety of Mirzapur’. Saqib will soon be seen in Ranveer Singh and Deepika’s film '83’. The film is also awaiting the opening of theaters for release. Rajesh Tailang was recently seen in the series 'Bandish Bandits’ released on Amazon Prime.
