This community is FFXIV really friendly

So I'm playing the trial version, and I absolutely loved it and still do. Haven't touched any other game since. But I played this game solo almost the whole time. I was waiting to get matched for Sastasha, and a lvl 60 near me suddenly asked what I was doing. I told him I was using duty finder, and he actually invited me to his party so he could do the dungeon with me. After the dungeon he even let me know that Basing Training was a thing, I was very surprised to see him taking the time to help me. This may not be really much compared to other similar posts like this, but I was very thankful because I have never seen this kindness in any other online game. I'm really excited to meet other people like him when I get the full game!

HOW DARE YOU SPREAD PEACE AND GOOD FEELINGS ON THIS MMO SUBREDDIT. REPORTED, ENJOY YOUR BAN KIDDO.

Huh. Thought the only threat people on here Buy FFXIV Gil knew is the downvote button. I even know people who created separate accounts just for the sake of being able to accept the usual downvotes from here and not care.

Browsing New on this subreddit is kind of sad. It seems like every thread is downvoted as soon as it's posted. It could be a completely harmless thread and it'll get taken down.

Oh nice! You'll be able to make it to level 35 now on Trial. It used to be only level 20, so it's a great change for Trial players. The chat is still very restrictive, though. It's hard to get around and meet people when you can't talk to anyone other than Party and Say chat.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far! There are so many people to meet - make sure to find a nice and friendly Free Company (FFXIV's equivalent of guilds), that can improve the whole experience even further!
Enjoy your time in Eorzea :)

I understand the logic of upvoting things that you want to see on the subreddit frontpage but I don't see much point in taking something down to oblivion for literally no reason. I haven't seen downvoting like this on any other sub I frequent.

What I've found personally is that the casual/leveling community is great but in endgame the people in Duty Finder and doing hunts are ass cancer. I personally blame tomestone grind burnout.

Yep, that's what I blame it on, there's only so much grinding you can do before you stop giving a fuck ;x

The healthiest thing to do when that happens is not play the game for a while, but since the game encourages you to grind it's harder to actually do.
