From the past years, doctors and Engineers were considered as a superior profession. Parents wanted their children to be doctors and engineers. Now times have changed, and people started to follow their passion. Every person has a different passion and love to do something different and to have a career in their passion.
Taking up a career as a chef
A Chef is a person who prepares food professionally. It takes a lot of hard work, experience, dedication, etc.

Working is not only about making money but also a passion for doing something you love. Everybody at some point in their life would have done some cooking. But taking up cooking or becoming a chef for your livelihood is a challenge and rewarding profession.
If you like cooking as a hobby, It is good, but if you are interested in becoming a chef, you have lots of career growth options. You start as a commie, and as you gain experience, you get promoted to chef de partie , sous chef, Corporate chef, Executive chef, etc.
Food is not limited to Hotels and Restaurants. You have Railways, flights, cruise lines,Industrial catering Hospital catering, etc. All these organizations require qualified chefs for their smooth functioning.
Some professions may not last long as technology advances, but a chef's profession will last as long as there are human beings on the earth as they are the people who provide mankind with their basic needs (Food).
His /her career growth is not domestic as every cuisine of every nation is famous worldwide; for example, Taj Westend a five-star deluxe hotel in Bangalore has a Thai restaurant named Paradise Island whose chefs are from Thailand.
As we have doctors and engineers specialized in different areas, even a chef has a lot of specializations. He/She can specialize in various cuisines of the world like Italian, Thai, Japanese, bakery, and Confectionary, etc.
If he wants to be an Entrepreneur, He/She can start a business related to their interests like a restaurant, bakery, or catering business.
As we say, cooking is an art; it includes a lot of creativity. It also brings out the creativity in the chef from classic recipes and garnishes to Contemporary and fusion cuisine.
Every profession has challenges, dedication, and sometime long working hours.
So if you have a passion for cooking and want to be a
chef, there are lots and lots of options to be a successful chef and have excellent career growth.
