Cranberry biscotti with Plastic Cup walnuts or almonds is an old favorite. The recipe was on a package of dried cranberries I bought years ago. Since then, the recipe seems to have disappeared and I am glad I still have it. Orange biscotti with mini chocolate chips is another family favorite. I adapted a basic biscotti recipe and, to bring out the orange flavor, added orange zest and extract.
Baking biscotti is fun and if you have never made it, I hope you will try at least once. Make some for yourself and some to give away. Why is biscotti a thoughtful gift?
First, you have hundreds of recipes to choose from. This means you can customize the biscotti. Let's say Aunt Edith loves chocolate. You can make chocolate biscotti with chocolate chips for her. Uncle Fred may love almond and you can make almond biscotti for him.
Second, you can make this Italian "cookie" ahead of time. Biscotti keeps for weeks, so if you want to stir up a batch weeks before Christmas, go ahead and do it. Keep in mind, though, that the flavor may fade a bit. I add an extra half teaspoon of extract to ensure good flavor.
An arrangement of your bodega could yield some storage boxes for home usage. If you cannot reprocess the container boxes, then the next option is to try and acquire old storage boxes from your close friends. I think many of your friends may have nice container boxes that they no longer utilize and they might be delighted to spot the container boxes transferred to someone that need.
The next option is to find "yard sale" in your region or find a discount store. Many yard sales have excess storage boxes that are offered for sale at a very cheap price and these storage boxes are great for under-bed storage system. The container boxes are used to keep other scraps that are being sold at the yard sale. After you acquire the cheap item, then you can obtain the container boxes for low value.
If you want to get the brand new container boxes, then buying at mall with good discounts is the most brilliant preference. To have practical purchase at the mall, you must do or conduct several investigations, evaluations and make a precise plan. The most efficient option is to go with particular sale or advertising of furniture products in your locality. A lot of traders advertise these container boxes at a practical value as a standard endorsement system. The most favorable time to buy these container boxes is after the Christmas season and at the end of school season.
Since being in London and Spain, the water has been less than favourable. Where we are staying at the moment, the water is very hard. It has a huge amount of lime scale and the owners suggested we shouldn't really drink it. What they drink here is spring water. It is so cool! In the middle of this little town, is a spring fountain. It has water flowing out of it all year round and it is cold and tastes amazing. One of our jobs in this job we are doing, is to fill up water bottles every few days to supply us and the guests with spring water.
Third, you can vary the size. Commercial biscotti tends to be five to six inches long. Homemade biscotti can be long or you can make mini biscotti that fit on a saucer. The size you make also depends on the storage container.
Fourth, you can make biscotti festive with colored sugar, multi-colored sprinkles, white chocolate drizzle, chocolate frosting, chocolate "shot," or large sugar crystals. Sprinkles are easiest, but I prefer to frost my biscotti. Make sure the frosting has set completely before you package the cookies. To speed setting, I put the baked and frosted biscotti in the Plastic Plate refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
