17-4Ph Stainless Steel Plate Sheet

The martensitic, precipitation-hardening stainless steel known as 17-4 PH Sheet Plate (AMS 5604) contains chromium, nickel, and copper in addition to the standard stainless steel elements. The combination of 17-4 stainless steel's high strength, strong corrosion resistance, and toughness in base metals and welds makes it a beneficial material. This material withstands corrosive assaults better than the majority of hardenable stainless steels, and it offers outstanding corrosion resistance (similar to grade 304) for many different sectors, including the food processing, paper processing, medical, and chemical processing industries. Because of these features, product designers have the option to increase the durability of their wares while simultaneously simplifying their manufacturing processes and, in many cases, lowering their prices. Up to around 316 degrees Celsius (600 degrees Fahrenheit), the material maintains its high strength. 17-4ph SS Plate has a strong resistance to the stress corrosion cracking that might occur at higher temperatures during the aging process.

Plates of type 17-4PH, which are also known as Alloy 630, are the precipitation-hardening steels that have the most widespread use. In contrast to other Stainless Steel Plates, it just takes a simple heat treatment order to generate a diverse set of qualities, one of which is its exceptional level of strength. It is significantly more magnetic than other PH grades because it has a little greater ferrite concentration than other grades. The application of heat treatments prior to cold working may help enhance the material's formability.

In addition to offering 17-4 PH plates and round bars, we are also providers of 17-4 PH stainless steel sheets and plates. In addition to keeping a 17-4 PH round bar in stock, we also keep it in heat-treated and precision-ground forms for use in a variety of applications, including those in the medical and aerospace industries. In addition to being used in surgical instruments and aerospace applications, gas turbines, chemical processing equipment, oil refining equipment, and food processing equipment, our products may also be found in a variety of other sectors.
