Still no Joey Votto as Reds want to hammer Cardinals once more
The Cincinnati Reds went down 19 operate on the St. Louis Cardinals last night, so the lack of Joey Votto from the lineup for a 2nd straight day mattered not in the grand plan. Nick Martini picked up for him by socking an early 3-run homer, and the Reds simply boat-raced the Birds from there on. Tonight, it's lefty Drew Rom on the pile for St. Louis, and it's reasonable that Reds supervisor David Bell would have Votto on the sidelines for that circumstance, too - in a vacuum cleaner.
