As blood passes through the vessels, it exerts Deep Sleep Diabetes Remedy pressure which can either be systolic (when the heart beats) or diastolic (when the heart is resting). Pressure exerted by the blood is determined by a sphygmomanometer or a similar machine, with the systolic pressure on the top and diastolic pressure on the bottom, for say a 120/80 reading. This type of blood pressure is not a constant but changes frequently throughout the day depending on level of activity, posture, nicotine and other drug use and the amount of tension. All the same, readings below 60 are considered to be low while for above 90 it is high diastolic pressure.

The diastolic blood pressure crucially supplements the systolic blood pressure. It is the driving force behind creating enough force to send the blood into the vessels to all the body parts once it has been pumped by the heart. As you move away from the heart, the blood vessels get smaller and smaller branching in a tree like pattern. Without the requisite diastolic pressure, the blood that is pumped from the heart would not effectively travel to all parts of the body.

Diastolic pressure can either be too low (for readings below 60) or too high (for readings above 90). The former is called hypotension while the latter is called hypertension. For low blood pressure or for hypotension, the blood will not be able to supply nutrients and oxygen to far organs and cells far away from the heart in addition to removal of waste matter. This leads to death of the blood vessels, and severely affects the patient.High diastolic pressure or hypertension has more disastrous health implications and is far too common than hypotension. It affects the small body organs and blood vessels with time leading tor hardening, scarring and loss of elasticity. They are thus more likely to rupture or to get blocked.
