After Mbappe, 'gatekeeper' Navas also leaves Lee Kang-in

Kyler Navas (38) will also be leaving the club at the end of the season.

PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas announced on his personal social media account on Wednesday that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 1986-born goalkeeper is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world due to his excellent situational awareness, quickness, and reflexes, despite his lack of height at 5-foot-9.

He made his debut for Deportivo Saprissa in 2005 and went on to play for Albacete and Levante UD before joining Real Madrid in 2014. Navas was at the top of his game at Real until 2019, when he moved to PSG.

With the arrival of supernova goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in 2021, Navas' spot at PSG narrowed, and he briefly spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest, but he returned to PSG to finish the season.

Having lifted a total of 21 trophies with Real Madrid and PSG, the defender is now ready for a new challenge. "My time at the Parc des Princes (PSG's home) has been great. I have always felt the love of the fans here and I thank God for that," he said.

He added: "It was an honor to be in goal at this amazing stadium. I still have goals to achieve, but I'm saying goodbye to a place I've grown to love," he wrote.

Navas is not the only PSG player to leave the club at the end of the season. 바카라사이트 PSG star Kylian Mbappe is also leaving the club.

On November 11, Mbappe posted a short video on his personal social media account to say goodbye to his fans.

"I have something to say to you, and I've always said that when the time comes, I will speak to you directly. I want to let everyone know that this is my last season at PSG," Mbappe said, explaining his decision to leave the club in person.

He added: "I will not extend my contract and our adventure ends in a few weeks. I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes this weekend," he announced.

"Having had the opportunity and the great honor to be part of the best club in France, one of the best in the world, I have experienced many emotions, many pressures, and have been able to grow as a player with some of the best players in history, meet many people, and grow as a person through both glories and mistakes," he continued.

Mbappe added: "I never thought it would be so difficult to leave my country, France. Ligue 1 is the league I've always known, but after seven years I needed a new challenge," Mbappe said.

Mbappe added: "I would like to thank all the teammates I played with. I would like to thank all the people I met, Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Christophe Galtier, Luis Enrique, Leonardo and Luis Campos," Mbappe said, naming the coaches and club management by name.
