Con Edison Announces Pricing of Common Share Offering

Consolidated Edison, Inc. (Con Edison) (NYSE: ED) today announced the pricing of the offering of 13,636,363 of its common shares at $77.00 per common share in connection with the forward sale agreements described below. Pursuant to the forward sale agreements, the forward counterparties (as defined below) or their affiliates have agreed to borrow from third parties and sell such shares to the underwriters. In addition, the underwriters have been granted an over-allotment option for a period of 30 days to purchase up to an additional 1,493,506 Con Edison common shares.

The steepest drop in oil prices in more than three years put investors and drop shipping companies usa in a selling mood Tuesday, extending the Standard & Poor’s 500 index’s losing streak to a fourth day.
Energy stocks led a late-in-the-session sell-off on Wall Street after the price of U.S. crude oil plunged 7.1% to $55.69 a barrel, the lowest level since December 2017.
