The Warriors won't be happy about this, and they have every right to that feeling. That's not the takeaway from this game, though. The bigger i sue for Golden State is that LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Richard freaking Jefferson sure seem to still be in the Warriors' heads.Obligatory reminder:The Warriors became the first team ever to blow a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals in June, despite setting a regular-season wins record and having the Greg Holland Jersey first unanimous MVP in league history. But with the Cavaliers having zero timeouts, Sam Hilliard Jersey they were granted one because the referees decided to review the play.The reason for the review might have been to a se s how much time should have still been on the game clock, but why would they not both be stopped at the same time? Jefferson, a savvy veteran, stuck his foot out and tripped up Durant immediately after he caught the inbound pa s. That caused him to fall. It looked bizarre, and the focus initially seemed to be on body contact. Instead, it became clear that Jefferson tripped Durant.Whether that was intentional or not, it should have been a foul. And it left Durant unable to take a clean shot to try to win the game.MORE: When asked about how the Cavs made this comeback, having been down 14 in the fourth quarter, Irving told ABC's Lisa Salters,"Understanding that we've been in this position before."That part is true, and it matters long term for the way this season and po sibly the next few play out. The Cavs and Warriors are the best teams in the NBA, and no one should bet against a third consecutive Finals rematch. The Warriors have more individual talent than the Cavs, and they likely will again stack up a better regular-season record.But players like Jefferson and Channing Frye and DeAndre Liggins tend to Gerardo Parra Jersey step up their games for the Cavs against the Warriors. And when that happens, the Warriors need to get tough and dig down to answer.
