The 2023 edition of the Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Thunder’ brings back the coveted colorway originally released in 2006 (and previously reissued in 2012). The upper is draped in smooth black nubuck, contrasted by hits of yellow on the molded eyelets, quarter panel, and lower tongue, with the latter two components covered in black netting. Jumpman branding appears on the Flight tongue tag and molded heel tab. Lightweight cushioning comes courtesy of a yellow polyurethane midsole, enhanced with an exposed Air-sole unit in the heel.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott first saw two surprise releases during Travis Scott’s Grammy Awards performance and his birthday. After so many teases and rumors, one of the most talked-about shoes is 2019 is finally here. Allow me to say that this shoe really does not disappoint. The entire shoe is covered in high-quality materials that just feel nice. The color of the brown nubuck changes as you brush your fingers softly across it and the white tumbled leather really holds the shoe together with sturdiness.

Ahead of 2023, Tinker Hatfield’s second design by Tinker Hatfield for Michael Jordan has emerged in a Craft edition via official images. The upcoming retro indulges in a number of muted tones, with “Photon Dust” playing the titular role across the leather and suede upper. Hits of grey and off-white enter the mix in supporting roles, with the former color covering the Jumpman-branded component at the spine.

When the Air Jordan 1 was created, there was not that much actual tech out there for basketball shoes. Nike changed this by incorporating Air technology in the midsole. Theoretically, this would help with cushioning.
The reality is that previous Nike hoops shoes such as the Air Force have a lot more of that “air” feeling in the midsole. Although the tech is there on the AJ1, that isn’t why the sneaker was good for basketball at the time.
