Choice of three-terminal fittings for your application

Submitted by cyrusfrank on Tue, 08/18/2020 - 03:27

Tri-clamps are one of the most common types of tube connections in the food, beverage, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. This type of connection consists of a compressed gasket between two ferrules or three-clamp flanges which are mechanically compressed in position with a clamp. Tri-clamp fittings are available in a variety of sizes, can be constructed of both steel and plastic, and can be either permanent or temporary. The clamp itself is also available in a variety of designs to facilitate disassembly and cleaning.

TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) for stainless steel

Submitted by cyrusfrank on Wed, 08/12/2020 - 03:59

The process or TIG welding is the procedure that is used for welding stainless steel by Stainless Steel Pipe manufacturer. In this process, the electric arc is going to be established between the base metal and a non-consumable Tungsten electrode, under a protective atmosphere. The atmosphere has been generated by the inert gas, which is usually argon.

What is a tubular heat exchanger?

Submitted by cyrusfrank on Fri, 08/07/2020 - 21:19

A heat exchanger is process equipment designed to transfer heat between two fluids or between the surface of a solid and a moving fluid.

The manufacture of the heat exchanger can be performed in different grades of stainless steel or special alloys. They can withstand high and low operating pressures and a wide range of process temperatures. In the manufacture of heat exchangers, welding is a key aspect of the process. The tubular heat exchangers are very efficient process equipment, and a high speed improves heat transfer considerably.

The advantages of stainless steel ball valves

Submitted by cyrusfrank on Mon, 08/03/2020 - 21:30

Ball valves are widely used in the plumbing industry. They can stop the flow of water passing through the line. There are two main types of materials for metal, brass and stainless steel ball valves. With the growing popularity of Stainless Steel Ferrule Fittings in non-industrial applications, ball valves in stainless steel continue to attract more attention.

Type of welding used for stainless steel pipe

Finding the right process, the one that will give us the best result and we will do it in less time. We must always optimize processes and more of the same in welding. We must find that type of weld that makes us achieve the results we want.

Here we are going to see the type of welding that will be the most suitable for welding 316L Stainless Steel Tube.

Stainless steel alteration caused in various areas

After curing the hardening, the hardness achieved by this material is not as high as that provided by 420 Stainless Steel Tube. Main applications of 410 stainless in oil refining equipment, valves, pump components and cutlery.

By increasing the amount of sulfur, the stainless 420 F, and a variety of 420, are obtained, with good susceptibility to machines.

Stainless steel: development and applications

Submitted by cyrusfrank on Sat, 07/04/2020 - 00:38

Stainless steel is chromium and chrome alloys with at least 11% chromium.

The addition of other elements to the alloys allows the formation of a wide range of materials, known as the stainless steel family. Among the alloying elements, there are two prominent elements: chromium, an element found in all types of stainless steel because of its role in corrosion resistance and nickel due to its memory in mechanical properties.

Below is a panoramic view of the stainless steel family, its main characteristics and applications.

The Hastelloy C-276 is an additional tungsten nickel-chromium molybdenum alloy designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance in various harsh environments.C-276 is widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields as an element of organic and catalytic chloride systems. This alloy is especially suitable for high temperature environments, impure inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid) and seawater corrosion.
