What is Carbon Black – Common Applications Examples

Carbon black can be obtained by the incomplete combustion of petroleum products such as coal tar, FCC tar, or ethylene cracking tar. Its subtypes include acetylene black, channel black, furnace black, lamp black and thermal black. It has a Para-crystalline structure and has a high surface-area-to-volume ratio.
