Why Everyone Should Own a Laser Engraver?

ORTUR Laser Master 3
I joke that I never knew I wanted a laser engraver until I got one. Since I assembled my first laser unit and engraved my first piece, I believe everyone should own an Ortur laser engraver. When I use Ortur Laser Master 3, I am more convinced that laser engraving and cutting machine is one of the most promising industries in the future.

Evaluation Process
Contact me as a content creator company and ask me to review their product. If it's something I'm interested in or think might benefit my audience, I'll give their product a chance to let you know what I think.

I'm working on a series of videos showing how to make a product to sell and how to personalize it to get more for the same product. Because, Newsflash, people are more likely to buy extra cheddar if the items they buy are personalized. My first thought was a CNC router. While I was researching CNC, a company contacted me and asked if I wanted to check out the Ortur Master 2 5 Watt Diode Laser.

That email came just in time. Laser Engraver is a cheaper option than CNC. It's more portable. And I will find that the software has a much steeper learning curve. It checks all the boxes and doesn't break the bank. So I naturally agreed. They sent me one.

I'd love to say "the rest is history", but that's not the end of the story. The Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro is not without its shortcomings. That is, for novice users. Don't get me wrong, the Ortur is a solid unit. However, when I got it, the assembly instructions were difficult to understand. I ended up having to search YouTube for assembly videos. Even after that, it took me almost 45 minutes to assemble.

Using it for the first time fascinated me. However, I'm not sure if this is something I would recommend everyone to go to the store to pick up. You have to make sure your belt tension is correct. There is new software to learn. Assembly is a bitch.

Around that time, another laser company reached out. That company was xTool, and they wanted me to review their new 10 watt diode laser, the xTool D1 Pro. They boast easy assembly. And 10 watts? Ortur is only 5w! Of course, I had to check.

The D1 arrived and I had it assembled in about 10 minutes. Modular designs assemble faster and assemble fewer parts. The belt runs inside the frame. While belt tensioning is still an issue, they are pre-tensioned (is that a word?). Best of all, it comes with its own proprietary software. I know, I know who likes proprietary software? In this case, I would. It's simple and easy to use. It makes the device plug-and-play and easier to use by more people. Do you want to eventually transition to Lightburn, the industry standard for amateur laser users? certainly. However, out of the box, you can start sculpting almost immediately with this setup. Did I mention it's sexy? ! ! ? The clean lines make it look clean too!
Now we have lasers. Everything is ready. What can we do with it? The answer is everything! ! This thing can be carved on wood, leather, paper, acrylic, fabric, rock! Damn rock, people! It can even engrave on stainless steel, glass and ceramics (though I recommend using a transfer agent to darken the result). It can not only engrave, but also cut wood, leather, paper, acrylic and fabric up to 10mm. I mean, come on, this thing is crazy.

But Ortur also introduced an upgraded 20-watt diode unit, the Ortur Laser Master 3 (which will be used on Ortur's current frame and gantry). With a 20w laser, it will be more convenient and faster when you engrave or cut.

Laser Engraver Use
The laser machine is versatile, easy to use, and with a little effort (probably an Etsy store), it pays for itself in as little as a month. So you now have the tools to not only personalize the things you've already made, but also make your own!

It's so satisfying to laser cut something. It's so precise that you'll feel like an absolute boss when the laser does its job. Or at least I do. I have never considered myself a "good" woodworker. In fact, I would describe myself as a more blunt object than anything else. So, are there such precise results? so. satisfy!

I hope you are now ready to embark on this laser journey with me. Let's fire those lasers. Let's put a little stink! Also, if you'd like to dive deeper into the world of laser engraving, let me know what interests you in the comments below!
