CBD does not cause a high. While some forms of CBD may contain trace amounts of THC, CBD is considered a nonpsychoactive health aid. That means that you're getting all of the benefits of the plant without worries about getting high, potentially failing drug tests, succumbing to overwhelming food cravings, and all of the other issues that one has to worry about when taking psychoactive products. That said, there is some variance within CBD oils. Here's a look:

Full-spectrum CBD oil contains TCH and other cannabinoids that have not been filtered out.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil does not contain THC. However, it does retain most of the other naturally occurring cannabinoids.
CBD isolate does not contain TCH because it is stripped of all cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. It is considered the purest form of CBD.
