'Tottenham's best craftsman' reunited with SON

Some familiar faces at Tottenham. Son Heung-min (32) had a hot reunion.

Moussa Dembele (37) and Nacer Chadli (35), two Belgian players who have enjoyed an era at Tottenham, attended the 37th round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) season against Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on Wednesday (Nov. 12).

Tottenham released a photo of the trio on social media, and fans were delighted to see Dembele's appearance. Dembele arrived at Tottenham in August 2012 and spent six and a half seasons in north London until January 2019.

Heung-min joined Tottenham in August 2015 and formed a fantastic partnership with Dembele. The world had changed, and Dembele's emotions were heightened by the fact that Son was wearing the Spurs captain's armband.

Dembele has scored 10 goals in 250 appearances for Spurs, but he is often voted the best player in the club by the players. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) said: "The best player I ever played with was Dembele at Tottenham. Dembele was an absolute magician when he had the ball. I've never seen a player like him."

Dele Alli (Everton) and Kyle Walker (Man City) also stood out, calling Dembele the "master of decompression". Dembele will retire in 2022 with Chinese side Guangzhou City.

Tottenham fans expressed their nostalgia with responses such as 'Dembele would be better than Ivor Bissouma if he played now', 'We need a player like Dembele', 'Dembele is the perfect Tottenham legend', and 'Dembele is the most underrated player'.

Shadley played for Tottenham for three seasons, from 2013-2014 to 2015-2016. He made 119 appearances and scored 25 goals. Playing as an attacking midfielder and winger, Shadley was often overshadowed by the 'DESK' line of Son, Harry Kane, Alli, and Christian Eriksen.

Tottenham snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Burnley that day. Son Heung-min played the full time but was unable to achieve the '10 (goals) - 10 (assists)' as his teammates failed to help him. His cross to Brennan Johnson in the 33rd minute was as good as a goal. Son Heung-min now has 17 goals and nine assists this season.

"I think these situations are better opportunities," he said after the game, referring to the four-game losing streak. It's a chance for the players to grow as players and as people through these situations, and at the end of the day, to overcome these difficult situations. Obviously, the coach played a big part in that, but I think it really showed in the way the players tried to train to the best of their ability and show that on the field."

"Today's game wasn't easy, but they didn't give up until the end, and I think that's a good thing. I don't think I tell them anything in particular, but I always try to show them a little bit by example, and I think they've picked up on that," he emphasized.

The 'big four' hope is alive and well. Fifth-place Tottenham (63 points) closed the gap on fourth-place Aston Villa (67 points) to four points. Aston Villa hosts Liverpool on Thursday in round 37. If Aston Villa fails to win, the possibility of a 'big four' remains open.

Tottenham must win their remaining home games against Man City and Sheffield United. Aston Villa only needs one more win against Liverpool and Crystal Palace to secure a spot in the 'Big Four'.

"The upcoming game is against the best team in the world right now (Man City)," said Son Heung-min. We have to prepare well. We have only one week left in the season, so it's most important to recover quickly and prepare well for a good game." "We shouldn't think about both games, but rather prepare well for the last home game and finish well. We've had a really good start to the season, but it's important that we finish in the same way," he added. 토토사이트
